Ok... non poteva mancare un topic per questa band a dir poco leggendaria. Alfieri del cosiddetto "Southern Rock", ovvero quella folgorante miscela che comprende elementi del Blues Rock, Boogie Rock e Hard Rock, il tutto unito (in certi casi) in lunghe jam.
Gli ABB si formano a Jacksonville in Florida, città di provenienza di molte band Southern Rock, nel marzo del '69, per volere dei fratelli Gregg e Duane (R.I.P) Allman. La loro discografia ufficiale comprende 12 album in studio, 14 live e 16 raccolte.

Senza dubbio è stato un gruppo importante, sia per il blues che per lo sviluppo dell'hard rock, quindi anche per il metal , per me hanno scritto dei riff innovativi, per l'epoca.
