E' stata durissima ma ce l'ho fatta. Ho tentato, per quanto possibile, di tenere solo un disco per band (tranne tre eccezioni il cui motivo è abbastanza evidente), ma penso che l'essenziale estremo sia questo. Ovviamente, il tutto è influenzato dai miei gusti personali e di quanto questi dischi abbiano influenzato me come appassionato (oltre che dalla loro importanza storica). Certo, forse se si facesse "le 20 band essenziali" forse sarebbe più completa

Bark meglio di Blizzard e Diary

effettivamente Bark è inferiore ai primi due ma io penso sia un album bellissimo, con grandi pezzi (chi non ricorda forever come sigla di Heavy con Kleever), una grandissima band seppur orfana di Randy R. e una copertina fra le più belle del metal. Dovendo stare dentro le venti preferenze quindi fra i due litiganti il terzo gode...
